About Brooklyn Navy Yard
The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a New York City industrial park operated by the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC), a not-for-profit corporation. Its campus is home to more than 500 businesses working in modern manufacturing, design, technology, film and media, and small business.
The Yard functions as an economic development engine: it stewards the campus and its industrial real estate while building the systems — workforce services, training programs, and business support — that connect New Yorkers to the industries growing there.
The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center anchors that ecosystem, offering free workforce services that link local job seekers with Yard businesses. More than 2,500 individuals have found jobs through the Employment Center to date, and the Yard also hosts free technical training such as CNC machine operator and programmer programs.
