Dr. LisaMarie Moore

Dr. Lisamarie Moore received her Bachelors of Science in Information Technology from Old Dominion University, a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University – Biomedical and Health Sciences.

Over the last decade, Dr. Moore has been a trailblazer within her field, which has attracted the attention of laboratories worldwide. She has held several scientific positions at companies such as Forest Laboratories and GE - Global Research Center, but has continued to build her career in the public sector. As a trained neuroscientist, Dr. Moore conducts novel research, where her focus is the cellular composition of an aggressive, incurable brain cancer. She is also involved with studies that seek to optimize biomaterials for drug delivery and stem cell transplantation in tissue and organ regeneration. And most recently, she worked with NASA on the Martian Mission, analyzing the effects of deep space radiation on the human brain. She has published several manuscripts in peer-reviewed science journals and has coauthored many scientific textbooks.

For her contributions to the field of science, Dr. Moore has been selected as a Fellow by several academic consortiums and foundations. She has also won merit-based awards from organizations such as the Biotechnology Institute, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the Executive Women of New Jersey. Most notably, she was awarded a competitive and prestigious fellowship from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Neurological Stroke and Disorder, to fund and support her research.
